What happens when you get 10 yellow cards in the Premier League

There have been some phenomenal goals in the history of the Premier League and also some unique ones. There has to have been the fastest Premier League goal of all time and so what is it?

Who scored the fastest Premier League goal of all time? Shane Long scored the fastest Premier League goal when he scored just 7.69 seconds into the game against Watford on the 23rd of April 2019.

Southampton came into the game knowing that points would be crucial as they looked to avoid relegation, with Watford comfortably mid-table and looking to get themselves as high in the table as possible. Southampton went with Irishman Shane Long up front who had scored four times prior to the game.

Watford kicked the game off by passing the ball back to centre-back Craig Cathcart who looked to launch a long ball to Watfords’ attackers. However, Shane Long was able to jump and block the attempted pass and the rebound bounced perfectly for him to land and give him a one-on-one with the Watford keeper.

Long calmly lifted the ball over Ben Foster as Long wrote himself into the history books by scoring in just 7.69 seconds. This broke the record set by Ledley King in 2000 who scored against Bradford in just 9.82 seconds. It is a record unlikely to be beaten in the near future as it took 19 years to break Kings’ record.

Fastest Goals in Premier League History (start of 2022-23 season)

Who scored the fastest Hatrick in the Premier League?

To score a hatrick in football, a player needs to score 3 times within a single match. Since the start of the Premier League in 1992 until the end of the 2021-22 season there have been 346 Hatricks scored by more than 200 players.

Eric Cantona scored the first ever Premier League Hat Trick for Leeds Utd before his move to Manchester United later that season.

Currently Sergio Aguero has scored the most Premier League Hat Tricks, with 12.

The fastest hatrick in football is defined by the time that elapses from the first goal until the third goal is scored. Given that the top 5 fastest hat tricks have been scored by the below players.

  1. Sadio Mane, 2mins 56s for Southampton against Aston Villa
  1. Robbie Fowler, 4mins 33s for Liverpool against Arsenal
  1. Jermain Defoe, 7mins 0s forTottenham against Wigan
  1. Gabriel Agbonlahor, 7mins 10s forAston Villa against Man City
  1. Ian Wright, 8min 47ss for Arsenal against Ipswich

Who scored the fastest 100 Premier League goals?

The Premier League has seen some brilliant goal-scorers in the history of the competition and some players have been able to hit the ground running with their goal-scoring. Scoring 100 goals in the Premier League is reserved for an elite company, but only one man has reached 100 goals the quickest.

Alan Shearer was the fastest player to score 100 Premier League goals, reaching the milestone in just 124 games which is still by far the record. Shearer benefitted from the fact that he was in his prime when the Premier League started and so hit the ground running in the new competition.

Guys like Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero did not have the same blistering start to the Premier League and therefore have not been able to score 100 goals as quickly as Shearer. It is part of the reason why he is the competition’s all-time leading goal scorer and it is unlikely that anyone will beat his record.

Who is the fastest guy in the Premier League?

It is difficult to say exactly who is the fastest player in the Premier League as there has never been a direct way to find out. Instead, we have to take a look at the statistics and our eyes to determine who is the fastest player in the Premier League.

Is Daniel James the fastest player in the Premier League?

There is certainly a case for Daniel James being the fastest player in the Premier League. When you watch him play you can see just how fast James is and his rapid speed often takes him past the defenders. When you speak about the fastest players in the league, often Dan James comes to mind.

During his time with Leeds United, James has been clocked running at 35.1km/h. To put that into reference, Usain Bolt’s 100m time of 9.58 seconds had an average speed of 37.58 km/h. So James is exceptionally fast and his top speed could be quicker than anybody else in the league.

His short stature means that James’ quickness is a lot more obvious to see as he appears to move so quickly when at full pace.

Is Darwin Nunez the fastest player in the Premier League?

When you talk about the fastest players in the Premier League few people would think of Liverpool’s new addition Darwin Nunez. However, Nunez has been clocked at the highest speed of anybody in the Premier League this season. According to Opta, Nunez has been clocked at 36.5km/h already this season, with that speed coming against Fulham.

With Nunez being 6ft 2in, few people would think about him as the fastest player in the league but according to the stats he has been the fastest so far. Now, this does not necessarily mean that Nunez is the fastest player in the league because it could be that other players have not had the chance to show their full sprinting speed.

Is Kyle Walker the fastest player in the Premier League?

I think there is a very good case for Kyle Walker being the fastest player in the Premier League. Walker is known for his incredible recovery speed and it is part of what makes him an excellent fullback as he is able to cover the world’s best wingers for speed. This speed has been shown in the stats as well.

Back in the 2019/20 season, Walker was clocked at a top speed of 37.8 km/h. This is the fastest speed that we have seen from any Premier League player across the last four seasons and is one of the reasons why Walker is seen as one of the fastest players in the Premier League.

However, Walker is not the same player he was a couple of years ago. He still looks like one of the fastest players in the Premier League at age 32, however, it is unlikely that Walker is still the league’s fastest player.

Who is the fastest winger in the Premier League?

It is difficult to say exactly who is the fastest winger in the Premier League at the moment, as it is often looked at on a perception basis. This is because wingers do not always get the opportunity to show their frontline speed. However, the stats do still have an answer on the current fastest winger in the Premier League.

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is the fastest winger in the Premier League according to the stats. This season Martinelli has been clocked going 35.9km/h which is the highest for any winger so far this season. Darwin Nunez is the only player to currently be clocked going faster.
